Prom is a magical night of the year. When you’re looking for the perfect ride for the perfect night, you want everything to be perfect. Her smile is beautiful, his tuxedo is neatly tucked and well-formed and their parents couldn’t be prouder of both of them. There’s only one problem. Who should they hire for the form of transportation and getting from point A to point B? This is a common problem faced by a lot of prom parties.
Well, here’s an idea for the kids. Have a group of them pool their money together and hire a stretch limousine. This teaches them the valuable skill of group funding, communication and working together. Not only that but all those worried fathers can rest assured their daughter will be coming home on time since they’re all arriving and departing in a group. It would only make sense that they’re leaving in a limousine together that they utilize the same limousine service to come home.
Sure, you might have to pay a little extra for having the limousine driver wait a few hours but they usually find ways to keep themselves entertained while you’re out and about off doing something. Plus, the cost should be offset with 10 people splitting the money between all of them. This puts a strain off the parents as well unless they really want to chip in and help pay for the costs.
So how do you find a limousine for prom? Start with the internet and yellow pages. Find all nearby limousine services and where you can find them locally. Ideally, you want the one that’s closest but you have to do a little digging and make sure they’re worth hiring before you hire them. Don’t hire a shady or scumbag company. There’s a few things you need to look out for and make sure of before you do any hiring.
First, make sure they are licensed and insured. Any unlicensed limousine company cannot legally operate in any state in the U.S. This is a federal law and anyone impersonating a limousine company can get into serious federal trouble. Not to mention how many kidnapping cases there are involving cases of shady looking fake limousines or taxi services looking to take people for ransom. Common sense will go a long way here but you need to make sure above anything else that they’re licensed and they’re definitely insured because without that, you can’t even legally ride in them.
Next, ask about any specials such as the date special or the prom specials. Some limousine companies will have deals on the occasion because they know it’s a big night and there’s a lot of competitors out there hoping to take their business. So I guarantee if you call and ask for any kind of specials or a discount, there’s going to be something out there. Make sure to mention that juicy word discount and their eyes will light up. They may try to sell you on some extras or accessories but that’s alright.
